Will AI Ruin Faceless Education Channels?
Description
YouTube’s big AI problem is just beginning. Sharing my thoughts while taking a walk… AI-generated faceless channels are changing how viewers interact with content. AI tools aren't the problem, how they're being used is. Instead of clicking and trusting thumbnails, viewers now pause to think: "Is this AI trash or real content?" "Should I even trust this video?" This extra cognitive effort is a problem for YouTube: ❌ Viewers spend too much time deciding if they should watch ❌ Hurts watch time, retention, and trust in the platform ❌ With education, you don’t know what you don’t know, which makes AI misinformation even riskier. ➡️ Some creators are now adding disclaimers: "This video is not AI-generated." -- something I'm doing too. But is it enough? 🤔 Definitely a fascinating challenge for YouTube to solve. What do you think?
