Description

Guess What Happens to Smart Home Gear at -40 Celsius? Recently, I was able to take my smart home gear outdoors at -40 DEGREES CELSIUS and you might be surprised by the results. I took products from almost every major smart home maker and some of the newer and smaller smart home manufacturers outdoors and tested them during a massive cold snap that happened here in Alberta, Canada. There were parts of the province at -40 C, it was windy, snowing, and brutal in a lot of ways. This is a story about #smart #home #gadgets and what they can do outdoors! Here's what I put outside or in an unheated garage (affiliate links): 360 DB9 Video Doorbell - SmartThings Cam - (Amazon) Govee WiFi Temp and Humidity Sensor - (Amazon) SmartThings Leak Sensor - (Amazon) SmartThings Multipurpose Sensor - (Amazon) SmartThings Motion Sensor - (Amazon) SmartThings Outlet (ZigBee) - (Amazon) SmartThings WiFi Plug - (Amazon) SmartThings ZigBee Bulb - (Amazon) Meross Garage Door Opener - (Amazon) iHome Outdoor Smart Plug - (Amazon) Nest Hello - Nest Outdoor Camera - (Amazon) Wyze Cam V2 - (Amazon) SimCam - (Amazon) Philips Hue Smart Bulb - (Amazon) Sansi Smart Bulbs - (Amazon) Follow Glenmah on Instagram - Follow Brett Miller on Twitter - Subscribe to Take The Frustration Out Of Automation: Join our Patreon Group to get direct access to me (and for even deeper content): Our recommended smart home products for every situation (affiliate link): (Amazon) Automate Your Life is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com and other Amazon websites.
