Water does not select; it does not dicsriminate. It refreshes the dry branches, soothes the thirst of wild beasts in the great forests, and nourishes the lives of people from all corners of the earth. Witnessing the Sangha and the dog Aloka persevering on the walking route, we feel even more deeply the value of sharing this precious water source. The local people constantly and reverently offer water to the Monks and tenderly care for Aloka, providing water continuously throughout the long journey. Water is for everyone and everything, from the blades of grass and branches of trees to the beings committing themselves to the mission of peace. The kindness shown to Aloka reminds us that in the thirst of life, compassion is the most refreshing water source for healing and uniting all species. Gratitude to the water for nourishing every form. Gratitude to the hearts that have watered the seeds of peace alongside us.
